On Sunday 11 September, a Proclamation ceremony will take place at Elmbridge Borough Council

The proclamation is a public announcement of the accession of the new monarch, King Charles III

On Sunday 11 September at 3.30pm, a Proclamation ceremony will take place at Elmbridge Borough Council. The Proclamation is a public announcement of the accession of the new monarch, King Charles III.

The Proclamation ceremony will be led by the Mayor of Elmbridge, Cllr Simon Waugh and will be attended by Elmbridge Councillors, plus the Chief Executive of the council, Adam Chalmers, and the Directors of the council, Sarah Selvanathan and Ray Lee. Past Mayors, local MPs and Freemen of the Borough have also been invited.

In keeping with Royal protocol, the Union flag will fly at full mast during the Proclamation readings.

This local Elmbridge Proclamation will take place a day after the National Proclamation and will coincide with other local Proclamations across the Country.
