Elmbridge Borough Council elections 2022
On Thursday 5 May, residents will go to the polls to have their say about who should represent them on Elmbridge Borough Council. There are 16 seats up for election in the borough. Voters in Claygate will also vote in a by-election for Claygate Parish Council. Counting will take place on Friday 6 May and results published online from mid-afternoon.
Register to vote
You can vote in these elections if you are 18 or over, and a British, Irish, European Union or Commonwealth citizen. The deadline to register to vote was Thursday 14 April.
Poll cards and polling stations
Poll cards were delivered at the end of March. Check your poll card for the location of your polling station, which may have changed since you last voted. Polling stations are open between 7am and 10pm on 5 May. Find out more information on how to vote in a polling station.
Ways to vote – in person, by post or by proxy
You can choose whether to vote in person at a polling station, by post or by proxy, where you appoint someone else to vote on your behalf. The deadline to apply to vote by post was 5pm on Tuesday 19 April. To vote by proxy, complete an application form and return it to us by post or email before 5pm on Tuesday 26 April.
