Pens at the ready for this year’s literary competition

This year, we are celebrating the Elmbridge Literary Competition’s 17th Anniversary in partnership with the R C Sherriff Trust.

The theme for the 2022 competition is ‘Enigma’. We are looking for your short stories and poems that unravel riddles, disentangle conundrums and resolve enigmas. Prizes will be awarded to all age groups (5-7; 8-11; 11-13; 14-18; and adults) and we welcome entries until 28 February. Interested in taking part? Find out more and how to enter.    

The R C Sherriff Trust have been looking at 17 extraordinary years of ‘writing for the sake of writing’ and invite you to discover and listen to winning entries from previous years. Some of them have been recorded by a local theatre group.
