Coronation weekend 6-8 May
Millions of people across the country and the Commonwealth are invited to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort over a weekend of special events.
- Saturday 6 May - The Coronation will take place in the morning at Westminster Abbey, London, and will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury. Find out further information about the ceremony.
- Sunday 7 May - a Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle will showcase the country’s diverse cultural heritage in music, theatre and dance. One of the highlights of the concert will be “Lighting up the Nation”, in which iconic locations across the UK will be lit up with projections, lasers, drone displays and illuminations. The concert will be staged and broadcast by the BBC in front of an audience selected for free tickets via a public ballot. Throughout the UK, Coronation Big Lunches will bring neighbours and communities together to share friendship, food and fun.
- Monday 8 May - The weekend of celebrations will end with The Big Help Out, which will highlight the impact of volunteering. This is aimed at encouraging people to get involved with activities and charities, community and faith groups are invited to share details about events on the Coronation interactive map to highlight the positive benefits of volunteering. Organisations already signed up include The Scouts, Royal Voluntary Service, National Trust and RNLI. Volunteer-involving organisations wanting to join in can sign up.

Claygate Centre
- Coronation Mosaic Craft Workshop: Tuesday 2 May, 10am-12 noon. £4 including materials and refreshments.
- Coronation Special Lunch: Thursday 4 May, 12 noon. £10. A three course lunch and afternoon piano sing-along.
Hersham Centre
- Coronation Bunting Workshop: Wednesday 3 May, 10.30am. Free! Make your own bunting for your coronation party. All materials provided.
- Coronation Celebration: Friday 5 May, 11.30am-1pm. Free event. Cream tea, a glass of bubbly and live entertainment to celebrate the coronation.
Molesey Centre
- Coronation Special Lunch, Thursday 4 May, 10.30am. £10 per person. Three course lunch and a glass of wine with a Royal Quiz in the afternoon.
Walton Centre
- Coronation Mosaic Workshop: Wednesday 3 May, 12.45-2.45pm. £5 per person. Make your own commemorative photo frame or tile. All materials provided.
Weybridge Centre
- Coronation Coffee Morning: Tuesday 9 May, 10am-12 noon. Tea and cake with live piano entertainment.

The official Coronation emblem is available for use for all activities associated with the Coronation including community and national events, publications, retail, and merchandising.

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport has shared a link to the Coronation flag branding toolkit.
Coronation interim photograph for use

Until an official photo is made available, a downloadable picture has been made available on the royal website for use by private individuals and by non-profit making organisations such as schools, charities, military organisations and local authorities that wish to use a picture to mark the Coronation. It may not be used for merchandising or any commercial publication. The picture should be credited to: Chris Jackson.
