New Chief Executive
Adam Chalmers is appointed Chief Executive of Elmbridge Borough Council
Following an extensive search and recruitment process, Elmbridge Borough Council last Thursday (7 April) agreed to appoint Adam Chalmers as their new Chief Executive.
2022 will be the year that takes Elmbridge towards a new vision 2030 for the borough, as well as seeing it progress its transformation agenda and Adam Chalmers as Chief Executive will be integral to that journey.
Councillor Chris Sadler, Leader of Elmbridge Borough Council and Chair of the Recruitment Panel is delighted that Adam is joining the Council:

Adam who is currently Director of Community Services at Horsham District Council, is excited about the new role ahead:

As Director of Community Services at Horsham District Council Adam has strategic responsibility for a wide range of public-facing services. Prior to this he was the Head of Community & Engagement for Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and before that he was responsible for Partnerships & Engagement and had notable success in delivering the Troubled Families programme. Adam has been in local government since 2004 where he started in Democratic Services.
Adam is likely to take up the position of Chief Executive in late June 2022. In the meantime, Deputy Chief Executive Sarah Selvanathan will act into the Chief Executive and Head of Paid Service role in addition to her current role. Ray Lee, Strategic Director will act as the Returning Officer for the 5 May 2022 Elections.
