Love Elmbridge - shop local and park for free

Christmas parking in Elmbridge

We're spreading some yuletide cheer on our high streets this Christmas by encouraging residents to shop, eat and play local with free parking on the Saturday before Christmas – 18 December.

Residents and visitors to our towns, villages and parades will be able to park for free in all Elmbridge Borough Council run town and village centre car parks, giving everyone a chance to pick up any last minute festive treats or gifts, meet friends at your favourite café or restaurant or just explore your local high street this festive season.

Parking will be free on the following dates across the festive period:

  • Saturday 18 December (town centre and village car parks only)
  • Christmas Eve
  • Boxing Day
  • Monday 27 December
  • Tuesday 28 December
  • New Year’s day
  • Sunday 2 January
  • Monday 3 January

Councillor Peter Harman, Portfolio Holder for Transport said, “Our independent shops, cafes and restaurants are at the heart of the local community and we are happy to support our high streets this Christmas with our free parking offer. The borough is rightly proud of all the great local independents on our doorsteps so please do come out and shop local in the build up to Christmas and beyond.”
