Planning enforcement notices served in Cobham
Three months given to comply with the enforcement notices.
Elmbridge Borough Council achieved a great result with the Planning Inspectorate this month, May 2023. The owners of Alba Stables, Cobham, which is in the greenbelt, had undertaken a significant amount of development on the land, plus several businesses were operating out of the site.
We served three enforcement notices, which in essence required the owners to cease using the land for businesses and to remove all the hardstanding and development from the land including removing 2,823 tonnes of material used to raise the height of the land.
The Planning Inspectorate upheld all our notices with some small changes.
When the owners of Alba Stables have completed all the removals, they must re-grass the land and cease the unauthorised uses. They have been given three months to undertake the works to comply with the Enforcement Notices.
